There are at least FOUR ways to hang your suncatcher in the window. The previous post described WHERE to hang it and this post is HOW to hang.
- NAIL - provided with each SunRain is two gold-colored small nails. One can be used to hammer into the top of a window frame. The nail fits through the chain so a lanyard clip is not required, although its included.
- TEACUP HOOK - I'm beginning to add these to each SunRain because people would like to hang it from the CEILING in front of the window. The teacup hook screws in like a wood screw and has a cover plate which looks nice.
- LOOP - use the lanyard clip to connect the chain back to itself and loop the chain over an existing curtain rod at the top or middle of the window.
- SUCTION POST - this is the new one and I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner. For customers with large windows who cannot reach the top of the frame, the suction post locks onto the window securely and without damage. Just peel and stick and push but let it remain 24 hours before loading it with weight. The polymer suction cup will adhere strongly. To remove just slide a thin piece of hard plastic between the glass and the suction post.
Each of these ways is strong enough to hold the 1.5 lb prism suncatcher where it works best - in front of the glass where sunbeams reach most of the day.
