The SunRain Story
I took the long way around to get here, but I'm here. My SunRain rainbow‑maker design comes from prism geometry: the prisms are about a 15° wedge, and my 360° circle holds 25 lead crystal chandelier prisms, forming a sunburst or daisy pattern. When I first hung my prism suncatcher in a south window, bright rainbows scattered across the room—walls, ceiling, even a wall 25 feet away had one‑foot bands of intense color from deep violet to red. It felt like the sun was raining pure color into our home.
SunRain is a clear, lead crystal design to hang in a sunny window. The Egyptian lead crystal prisms are 2" long and optically superb. The diameter is 6" across, it weighs about 25 ounces, and the resin core is roughly 1/2" thick. With the slight prism lift, the piece is about 1" deep. A delicate gold‑colored chain attaches to the center and one prism end via anchor and jump ring, with a lanyard clip on the end so you can loop it over a curtain rod. Each piece comes with a microfiber cloth, hanging instructions, two small nails, and a ceiling hook as additional hanging options.

In my granddaughter’s bedroom, three SunRains fill the walls, floor, and hallway with dancing rainbows—she says, “There’s rainbows everywhere!” Each piece uses 25 lead glass prisms by Egyptian Asfour Crystals, which split white light into vivid bands of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. It’s not the soft blur you get from plastic prisms; each 2" prism has 16 facets, so 400 tiny light‑generating surfaces can create color much larger than the facet—or even the prism—itself.
