"There's Rainbows Everywhere"
1. SunRain rainbow makers turn ordinary sunlight into a room full of color. In my granddaughter’s bedroom, three SunRains fill the walls, floor, and even the hallway with little rainbows that dance across the room on bright days. She absolutely loves watching the colors move and change. She says, "There's rainbows everywhere"
2. Each SunRain is made with Egyptian 30% lead glass prisms by Asfour Crystals, so the spectra are crisp, vivid, and intense. Those high quality prisms bend white sunlight into pure bands of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet that feel almost electric on your walls and ceilings. This is not the soft blur you get from cheap plastic “crystals.”
3. One SunRain rainbow maker holds 25 chandelier prisms arranged radially in a daisy ring. Each 2" prism has 16 flat facets, so chances of rainbows come from hundreds of tiny light generators, in a single elegant design. The result is an explosion of color that feels much larger than the piece itself.
4. When the sun hits a SunRain hanging in an east, south, or west window, the room transforms. Pinpoints of sunlight are fanned out into shimmering spectrums that reach across floors, walls, ceilings, and sometimes into the next room. It looks like someone tossed confetti made of light—only there’s no mess to clean up.
5. I designed SunRain to be durable and and to look delicate. Epoxy resin and tiny nails lock each prism securely into place, so the piece can handle light bumps and window drafts without falling apart. You get the sparkle and fragility of glass with the reassuring feel of a carefully engineered piece of art.
6. Hanging a SunRain is easy: each one comes with a 2' gold colored chain plus a lanyard clip and two small gold nails. Clip it to an existing hook, curtain rod, or plant hanger. Or use a nail to anchor it from the top of sunny window frame. A few minutes of setup and you’ve upgraded that window.
7. SunRain rainbow makers make beautiful, ready to gift presents. Every piece arrives in an attractive black gift bag, already dressed up for birthdays, holidays, baby showers, or “just because” surprises. When I ship them, they’re packed snugly and securely so the glass prisms arrive in perfect condition.
8. These are handmade art pieces, not factory items. I build each SunRain in my Omaha Resin Art studio. After building the center and placing every prism in the radial pattern by hand, I build up resin locking it all in place. I clean them, add chains and check everything is tight before it leaves my workbench. If you’re local, you can see them in person at Benson First Friday art shows or arrange a visit to my studio.
9. Midwest winters can be long, gray, and heavy. A SunRain in a sunny window literally brightens the room, sending streaks of color onto the floor, walls, ceiling when the clear day sun rains through your prisms. Even on those icy mornings, it’s hard not to smile when you see rainbow stripes warming up your walls.
10. Know someone who battles winter blues or depression? A SunRain won’t replace care or therapy, but it can add a daily dose of joy and color to their space. When the spectrums suddenly appear on the floor or ceiling, it feels like a small celebration that just happens, quietly, every sunny day.
11. I originally made SunRain for my own family, especially my granddaughter’s room. Seeing her face light up when the rainbows appear is what convinced me SunRain isa hit. That sense of wonder—watching pure sunlight turn into living color—is what I intend when I build every art piece that leaves my hands.
12. Put one SunRain in your favorite reading nook, another in the kitchen, and one in the hallway or entryway. Each sunny day, your home will surprise you with new patterns of color as the sun shifts. It’s a simple, lasting way to invite a little magic and calm into your everyday routine.
