4 oz clear epoxy resin (1:1 ratio, any craft store brand)
Flat metal spatula
Small pliers (jewelry or needle-nose)
Silicone pad or HDPE sheet or throw away table cover

🌈 What You'll Create:
A 6-inch diameter sunburst prism suncatcher with 25 lead crystal prisms (400 total facets) that throws bold rainbow bands up to 30 feet across your room. Hang it in any east-, south-, or west-facing window and watch the magic happen!

I first made SunRain for my granddaughter. When she saw the rainbows dancing across her bedroom, she said, "There's rainbows everywhere!" That reaction is what I hope every customer experiences. I'm a retired engineer turned artist, and SunRain combines the geometry I love with the joy of light. This DIY kit lets YOU experience that same creative satisfaction. Every piece is prepped by me, John, in my studio in Omaha, Nebraska.

Frequently Asked Questions
Custom and personalized orders
I can do custom and personalized orders. One variation is to have colored resin put in the center instead of clear. No extra charge for that, just a two week wait while it is built.
Sizing details
The SunRain is 6" diameter. Prisms are 2" long and the center resin well is 2" wide. The suncatcher weighs 24 ounces or 1.5 lbs. I allow 2 lbs for shipping.
Care instructions
A microfiber cloth comes with each SunRain sunburst rainbow maker. A light dusting occasionally is all you need. If it's dropped and a prism comes loose just contact me and I can fix it for you. Even if a prism breaks it is replaceable with some work.
Gift wrapping and packaging
I will happily gift wrap it for you. No additional cost but that needs to be requested.
Wholesale availability
I make these in groups of seven or eight. Each group takes two weeks to build. I can give some quantity discount but it will involve waiting.
