This listing is for the Choose Your Color version of SunRain.

Please select your preferred center color from the color chart. A small amount of colored resin is poured into the center well, then hardened into the piece. This gives the suncatcher a personal touch and makes it easier to coordinate with a nursery, bedroom, living room, office, classroom, or gift recipient’s favorite color.

Because each center is poured by hand, small variations are part of the handmade character of the piece.

HOW TO USE IT

SunRain works best in direct sunlight. Hang it in a window that receives real sun, in front of a sunny window, or below a skylight. When sunlight passes through the crystal prisms, rainbow colors are projected into the room.

A few helpful notes:

• Direct sun gives the strongest rainbows.
• Cloudy days will produce little or no rainbow effect.
• Windows shaded by trees, porches, or nearby buildings may reduce the effect.
• Morning or afternoon sun can work beautifully if sun enters the room directly.
• The rainbows move as the sun moves, so the light show changes throughout the day and season.

HOW IT’S MADE

Each SunRain rainbow maker is handmade in my Omaha resin studio in small batches. I use tools, jigs, and methods I have refined to space the prisms, secure them, pour the resin center, clean the crystals, and inspect the finished piece.

Each one comes polished, packed carefully, and ready to hang.

PACKAGING & SHIPPING

Your SunRain suncatcher is packed carefully in a hard plastic protective box, then cushioned inside an 8" x 8" x 2" shipping box to help prevent movement and breakage during shipping.

Processing time for this Choose Your Color listing is usually 2–3 days before shipping.

USPS Priority shipping is used for U.S. orders.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Dust gently with the included microfiber cloth.
• Do not use Windex or glass cleaner.
• Do not immerse in water.
• For sticky spots on crystal, use a little isopropyl alcohol on the cloth.
• Do not expose to heat above 140°F.
• Do not hang outdoors unless protected from rain.

A PERSONAL NOTE

I’m a retired civil engineer and surveyor working as an artist in Omaha, Nebraska. SunRain grew from my love of resin art, crystal, light, and the simple surprise of seeing real rainbows appear inside a room.

When my granddaughter first saw the rainbows in her room from three SunRain suncatchers hanging in her bedroom windows, she said, “There’s rainbows everywhere!” That is exactly the feeling I want this piece to bring into your home.
